Is there anyone out there who hasn't seen Hot Fuzz yet? I can't justify seeing movies by myself, so I'm begging for an excuse to go see it again. 9010235 CALL ME.

My current top fourteen favorite states I went to for Spring Break

From first to worst:

  • Colorado - I don't really need a reason. Okay my reason is ice cube kisses
  • Loiusiana - I was not judged in this state
  • Iowa - Herbert Hoover, scenic overlooks, AND free wireless at every rest area! Iowa has its act together
  • Oklahoma - Awesome hilly driving/overlooks after frickin Kansas
  • Tennessee - I played "Walkin in Memphis" when I entered the state, and it had almost finished by the time I left
  • Texas - Wildflowers I guess? Way to be totally average, Texas
  • Arkansas - I honestly don't remember being in this state. By the time I looked at a map, I was in Missouri
  • Missouri - Okay I have to admit, I basically slept through this leg of the trip. Must've been a good nap though
  • Nebraska - Lame at the beginning, more interesting by the end, once you start going up and up
  • Illinois - What seems like such a short state going west suddenly becomes a 8 hour drive in the dark when driving north
  • Mississippi - Somehow felt more ghetto than New Orleans
  • Kansas - Lame all day. Except Elkhorn Creek
  • Wyoming - Seriously, why am I not in Colorado yet
  • Indiana - Gary

My current top five favorite Kelly Clarkson songs and the person that instantly comes to mind when I hear them

No particular order:

  • Walk Away - Emily Van Dyke
  • Because of You - Ariel Bordewyk
  • A Moment Like This - Sideshow Bob
  • Behind These Hazel Eyes - Suzanne Winter
  • Since U Been Gone - John Vandermolen

Hint: The meaning of the lyrics has nothing to do with the associations.

My current top five favorite Christmas carols

No particular order:
  • The First Noel
  • Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
  • Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  • O Holy Night
  • While by my Sheep (baaaaaa)

I don't know if Rudolf counts as a Christmas carol.

Also, the local easy listening station has been all Christmas for a while. And I don't think I've heard a single religious song in that entire time. This makes me upset. If I hear "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland" or "Chestnuts Roasting" one more time, I will get even more upset but do nothing about it except whine more.

My current top five favorite philosophers

Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?

Morons.

No particular order:
  • Isaac Newton
  • Bertrand Russell
  • John Locke
  • Kurt Gödel
  • René Descartes

Yes I realize that they're pretty much all mathematicians or logicians. Sorry, that's who I like. The only philosophy classes I took in school were Philosophy 101 and The Philosophy of Mathematics.

Also, check out my obvious mastery of diacritical marks in ascii. The keystroke combination for ö in Windows is Alt+0246. That took me a bit of trial and error. At home on the Mac it probably would've been something simple like option+o.

My current top five favorite vegetables

No particular order:
  • Mr. Lunt
  • Lettuce
  • Dandelions
  • Terry Schiavo
  • Sweet Corn

This list was pretty hard because I don't really like vegetables in general.

Did you know that depending on how it is harvested, corn can either be a vegetable or a grain? It's a vegetable when you eat the kernels and they're still soft and juicy. But it's a grain when you let it dry out, then mash it up or something.

For some reason the supreme court had to decide whether tomatoes were fruits or vegetables (Nix v Hedden for you fact checkers). They went with vegetables. That doesn't really matter though because I don't like tomatoes, so they're not on the list.

Also seriously dandelions are vegetables. I guess people put them in salads? How many more fun facts would you like today?
